We need more of this. We need more atheist preachers!
Yesterday, Jerry delivered a sermon at the first "full-fledged atheist church" in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. There are youtube videos (part 1 and part 2), but the quality is a bit too poor to get full effect of his preaching.
So here's Jerry's Easter sermon at the American Atheist convention instead. Enjoy!
BTW, I pre-ordered Jerry's new book (Hope after Faith) and I was told yesterday that it has shipped. As soon as I get it I'm going read it. And when I do, I'll let you know what I think.

Atheism by definition is the lack of belief in god. It's amazing that a person's lack of belief can turn into a religion based on non-belief. By that, I mean that a normal person not believing in something would simply stop there. But atheist, even in this blog are calling for "more atheist preachers?" For not being a religion, atheism looks more and more like one everyday. Your even meeting and having people "preach" about the non-existance of God. Scientifically, there is no way to prove or disprove the existance of a divine being, because he would have to exist outside of this universe, and we are currently incapable technologically of even knowing if there even is an outside of this universe. Belief or non-belief is simply a moot point.
