Judging by the apparent population of the ME at this time according to the bible, (what with armies larger than cold war Russia, more casualties in a day than on the Somme &c), you could make a case for it being millions.
I don't think it SHOULD be that high myself. I like your policy of only including the absurdly exaggerated numbers when they're given, but surely cities (pl.) suggests at least, I don't know, say, five x your usual 1,000 per city ?

skansta: I've increased the count from 1000 to 3000 -- 1000 for 3 cities. Does that seem reasonable to you?
OK, skanksta. I've upped it to 5000, but that's all I'm giving Yahweh credit for in this killing.
But check the numbers of the other killings and let me know if I should change any before they are set in stone, so to speak.
