And although she hadn't read the article, she confidently asserted that Phil Robertson "was quoting the gospel."
But Robertson didn't quote from any of the gospels in his GQ interview--which isn't surprising since there are no nasty anti-gay gospel quotes.
Here is the Bible quote that got Phil Robertson in so much trouble:
Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God.And here is its source:
Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10Sarah Palin doesn't know the gospels from First Corinthians. Which isn't too surprising. She probably hasn't read them either.

I thought Sarah Palin said she read "all of them"... at least that's what she told Katie Couric.
Thanks for pointing out in bullet-proof documentary fashion how these nitwits are trying to (mis-)use scripture for their own purposes.

Steve Wells seems to have pissed off the Christ himself!
On his vanity forum, Brad Watson, Miami declares: "...I, the Christ, have returned. GOD and I have produced the "book/scroll" of The Revelation 5:1-10:10 and opened the "7 seals" which are explained here as 'beyond Einsten theories'. All our eternal souls pass through time by reincarnation and my soul's last incarnation was as Albert Einstein. 2,000 years ago, I was Y'shua ben Yosef (Jesus son of Joseph)."

Today he posted: " Steve Wells (http://DwindlingInUnbelief.blogspot.com ) ,
You're guilty of a really poor edit. Why? So as to use false information to promote your false belief that their is no GOD(7_4), that there was no appearance of God-incarnate (Jesus[74=J10+E5+S19+U21+S19] son of Joseph), and that the Christ doesn't return to "judge everyone according(74) to their actions". Atheists believe in randomness, although chaos theory states, "There is only an appearance of randomness, everything is connect(74)ed, and there are underlying patterns." Atheists believe that there is no afterlife although, science has now proven reincarnation. The law of karma is as real as the law of gravity. Therefore..." Etc.
