2011 Absurdities in the Bible

Sorry for not posting more lately, but I've been revising the SAB, getting it ready to publish it in book form. I'm now working my way through the gospel of John, and I just noticed that the total number of absurdities is 2011.

Here's a link: 2011 Absurdities in the Bible.

Steve, you're wonderful! We need more people like you to expose the dangers of Fundamentalism in all its insidious forms. Check out my blog too "How Dare You Speak For God?"

Steve and friends, there's a wonderful film that you have to see called: "The God Who Wasn't There". It came out in 2005 and you can find it on Amazon. It's great and very funny! It has some notables like Sam Harris.

Very pleased you are doing the book. I've been hoping you we're going to do that for awhile. Should be a big hit! :)

Steve, I love the little adverts scattered around your blog! I wonder if the sponsors, who seem to be serious religious types, have any clue about the barren ground their seeds are falling on. ;-)

I really can't wait for a hard copy SAB. Will there be a hard-cover leather-bound just like a real bible?

Thanks, skanksta, for the correction. And you can call me Shirley if you want to.

I haven't decided yet about the form of the book yet, Abbadon. I'd like it to look and feel like a regular Bible, but also be light enough that you can take it with you when you're going door to door to destroy people's faith. (Hello, sir, do you have a moment to discuss the Bible? I'd like to completely destroy your faith in it.)

All children of God created in his image are promised eternal life in God's world no matter what their sins and I have proven it by the word of God at http://minigoodtale.wordpress.com
Satan has deceived the whole world until the woman of Rev 12 exposes his lies by delivering the word John 1:1. Prove all things.

Please, let's NOT have it leather-bound. Enough animals have died for religion.

Good point about leather, nazani. I'll make it cloth or whatnot. (I suspect that leather would be too expensive, anyway.)

Yeah,

Why not tout around some wealthy atheist organisations, like the London bus people...see if they can fund putting them in every hotel room in the world, lol !

You'll make millions out of promoting reason - wouldn't that be cool...

More realistically, just a good PR launch of the idea in hotels near Fox studios etc. :)

You could use naugahyde... god loves it when naugas are sacrificed to him. They make a nice smell to his nose, and the skin ("hyde") makes a great covering for holy books. You *do* want people to take you seriously when you're doing your door-to-door work. ;-)
